Customs officials on Sunday arrested a man along with 13 kg gold at Shah Amanat International Airport, reports UNB.
The arrestee was identified as Swapan Kumar Nath.
Assistant Commissioner at the airport Customs House Tanvir Ahmed said Swapan landed at the airport from a flight coming from Dubai in the afternoon.
The presence of gold was detected while scanning his luggage, he said.
A total of 18 gold bars were kept hidden in the luggage applying a special technique, Tanvir said.
