Drug traders held with heroin worth Tk 50,000 in Goalundo

Police during a drive arrested two men along with five grams of heroin from Porabhita area in Goalundo upazila of Rajbari district on Saturday night. 

 

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police raided the area and arrested Abdus Salam Shikdar, 27, son of late Samad Shikdar of Dhunchi village in Rajbari sadar upazila, and Nurul Islam alias Badsha, 45, son of Azgar Mandal of Boalia village in Kalukhali upazia.

 

The duo was allegedly involved in trading drugs in Porabhita area, reports UNB.

 

Mirza Abul Kalam Azad, officer-in-charge of Goalundo Police Station, said the law enforcers also recovered five grams of heroin worth Tk 50,000 from their possession.

 

A case was filed accusing the duo with the police station under Narcotics Control Act, the OC added.
