Police have arrested six individuals, including a former police officer, over the robbery of gold bars worth 4,081g in Chattogram city.
They also reported recovering gold bars worth 3381.4g. The robbery took place on Sunday at Aturar Depot in the city.
Panchlaish Police announced the arrest and recovery at a press conference held on Friday afternoon.
The arrested individuals are Sumon Chandra Das, 42, the former police officer, his wife Panna Das, 38, Md Masud Rana alias Bike Babu, 30, Rafiqul Islam Imon, 22, Sumon’s cousin Rabi Chandra Das, 40, and Bibek Bonik, 42.
