Female teacher found dead at home in Bogura

Police have recovered the body of a female teacher from the bathroom of her house in Bogura town.

Bogura Sadar Police Inspector Mahfuzar Rahman confirmed the recovery of the body around 12am. Police found injury marks at the back of the victim’s head.

The victim Fabia Tasnim Sidhi, 29, taught zoology at the Govt Shah Sultan College, where she had been working for the past one and a half years.

Mahfuzar said Tasnim was unmarried and lived with her mother on the second floor of the apartment building at Chak Farid. Her mother was visiting her village home when the incident happened.

The mother had returned at 10pm to Bogura, failing to get her daughter to reply to the calls made over the phone. She informed police after getting no response from inside their home. Police entered the residence by breaking the door and found Tasnim’s body in the bathroom.

Police said the victim was bleeding from her nose, and her head and tongue bore injury marks.
