Four operatives of KNF held over bank robbery in Bandarban

Law enforcers attested four operatives of Kuki Chin National Front (KNF) from Ruma upazila of Bandarban district on Saturday night.

The arrested were identified as Roibot Bawm, 27, hailed from Jadipai Para in Ruma upazila, Lal Lom Thar Bawm, 31, a resident in Bandarban Sadar upazila, Mithucel Bowm, 25, inhabitant in Ruma upazila and Lian Bowm, 38, a resident in Sadar upazila.

Police said the four operatives were arrested from Sadar upazila in the cases filed over bank robbery and arms looting on April 2 in Ruma and Thanchi upazilas. They were produced before district magistrate court on Sunday.

The KNF members were sent to jail by the order of Senior Judicial Magistrate A S M Emran later.
