Investigation report against Quader, 45 others to be submitted on July 20

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) has set July 20 as the date for submitting the investigation report against former Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader and 45 others on charges of crimes against humanity.

The International Crimes Tribunal issued the order following a petition by the prosecution on Sunday.

19 individuals, including former ministers and state ministers arrested on charges of crimes against humanity during the July uprising, were produced before the tribunal.

The accused include former Awami League government ministers Anisul Huq, Faruk Khan, Dr Dipu Moni, Abdur Razzaque, Shajahan Khan, Golam Dastagir Gazi, Amir Hossain Amu, Qamrul Islam, Rashed Khan Menon, and Hasanul Haq Inu; former prime minister’s advisers Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury and Salman F Rahman; former state ministers Kamal Ahmed Majumder and Zunaid Ahmed Palak; former MP Solaiman Selim; former Appellate Division Justice AHM Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik; former home secretary Jahangir Alam; former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun; and former Director General of the National Telecommunication Monitoring Center (NTMC) Ziaul Ahsan.
