An unidentified young man was found dead in a waterbody near a local mosque in City College area of Jashore district town early Thursday.
Naimur Rahman, additional superintendent of Jashore Police, said getting bad odour from a water body adjacent to the mosque, local people informed police.
Later, police recovered the body wrapped in a polythene bag around 12:30 am and sent it to Jashore General Hospital.
Police said miscreants might have killed the young man in another place and dumped the body here, said Naimur Rahman, UNB reported.
The hands and legs of the man were broken, add police.
