Jubo Dal leader held over petrol pump worker’s death in Rajbari

Rajbari police have arrested former district Jubo Dal president Abul Hashem Sujan and his driver Kamal Hossain over the death of a petrol pump worker allegedly run over by their vehicle.
The victim, Ripon Saha, 32, worked at Karim Filling Station near Goalanda Mor.
Police said he was crushed outside the station on Friday morning after confronting the driver over unpaid fuel charges.
While initially treated as an accident, CCTV footage reportedly shows the worker being deliberately run over, according to police.
Rajbari Sadar Police chief Khondakar Ziaur Rahman said, “This is not an accident. We will file a murder case. The worker stood in front of the car after they refused to pay for fuel, and they ran him over before fleeing.”
Sujan, a former joint secretary of the district BNP, is also a first-class contractor.
Police seized his black Toyota Kluger SUV. When asked who was driving at the time of the incident, the officer said the incident is being investigated.
