A magistrate court in Dhaka on Saturday placed Limon Mian on a five-day remand in the killing of a judge’s son after intruding into the resident at Terakhadia area in the city on Thursday last.
Around 2.30 pm on Saturday, police produced Limon before the Metropolitan Magistrate Court seeking seven days remand. After hearing, Magistrate Mamunur Rashid granted a five-day remand. Subsequently, he was taken to Rajpara Police Station.
On the other hand, the court issued a show cause notice to Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Abu Sufian for allowing Lion to speak to the media in police custody.
The notice asked him to submit his reply before the court in person on November 19.
On November 13, Limon chopped Tawsif Rahman Sumon, 16, son of Abdur Rahman, a Metropolitan Session Judge to death and wounded his wife at Terakhadia area.
