Detectives in a drive arrested an alleged drug peddler along with 25,600 Yaba tablets from the Jatrabari area of the capital on Saturday.
The arrestee was identified as Mohammad Helal Uddin, 30.
Tipped off, a team of DB police conducted a drive near Sentu Filling Station in the area around 8:30 pm and arrested Helal along with the Yaba tablets, said NM Nasir Uddin on Sunday.
Such drives by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police to prevent drug smuggling and trafficking in the capital will continue, he added.
