A young man was killed after being hit reportedly by a stick by a neighbour at Bilmaria area of Lalpur upazila in Natore on Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as cattle breeder Nantu Islam, 28, of the area.
Sub-inspector Jahangir Alam of Lalpur Police Station said Nantu locked into an altercation with his brother and sister-in-law around 10:30 pm. When the neighbour Yusuf tried to stop the altercation, Nantu locked into another scuffle with him.
At one stage, being angered, Yusuf hit Nantu with a stick on his head, leaving him critically injured, according to a UNB report.
Later, the injured was taken to Lalpur Health complex where doctors declared him dead.
