Police arrested 22 persons including two activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and two drug traders from different areas of the district.
Police launched a special drive in the last 12-hour ending at 8am on Friday.
Law enforcers also recovered 100-gram of gunpowder and 100 bottles of Phensidyl during the drives.
Police said they were detained from different areas of the district.
During the drives, Dinajpur Sadar police arrested seven persons, Birganj Thana police arrested two persons, Birampur Thana police arrested two drug traders with 100 bottles of contraband Phensidyl syrup from Birampur rail crossing area, Nawabganj Thana police arrested three persons, Biral Thana police arrested one person, Kaharole Thana police arrested two persons, Khansama Thana police arrested one person, Hakimpur Thana police arrested two persons and Chirirbandar Thana police arrested two activists of Jamaat-e-Islami from Amtoli area of the upazila.
Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending with different police stations against the arrested persons, the sources added.
A BSS report says, members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive detained one person with 100-gram of gunpowder from Hili railway station in Hakimpur upazila of the district.
Later, the arrested person was handed over to the Hakimpur Thana police, BGB said.
The arrestees were sent to jail.
