Police in a drive arrested five members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Mirzapur in Sherpur upazila of Bogura district early Wednesday.
The identities of the arrestees could not be known yet.
Acting on secret information, a team of Detective Branch (DB) of police in association with Sherpur Police Station conducted a drive in the area around 3:00am and arrested five JMB men, including two of its top leaders, said Inspector Santan Chakrawarty of district police (media).
Police also seized two pistols, ten bullets, and three knives from their possession, reports UNB.
The arrestees were taken to DB office, said Humayun Kabir, officer-in-charge of Sherpur Police Station.
