Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in separate drives arrested three suspected members of banned Islamic outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from different parts of Chapainawabganj Sadar and Shibganj upazilas on early Tuesday.
The arrestees are Rahmat Ali, 47, son of Abdul Gafur, Jahangir Alam, 43, son of Mafiz Uddin and Moazzem Hossain, 30, son of Hazrat Ali of Shibganj upazila, reports UNB.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-5 raided Durgapur Purbapara in Sadar upazila and arrested Rahmat Ali around 3:45am.
The elite force members conducted another drive at Chakla in Shibganj uapzila on information and arrested Jahangir and Moazzem, said a press release of RAB.
The law enforcers also recovered some jihadi books and passports from their possession.
