RAB detains four suspected JMB members in Chapainawabganj

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested four suspected members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Dakhshin Sahar area of Chapainawabganj sadar upazila on Monday night.

The arrestees are Abdul Kader, 30, Aminul Islam, 30, Abdur Rahman, 39, and Aktarul Islam, 46, hailing from Shibganj upazila, reports UNB.

Being tipped-off, a team of the elite force in a drive arrested four JMB men along with a pistol, five round bullets, a magazine, 400gm gunpowder, and bomb-making elements, said a RAB-5 press release.

In primary interrogation, the detainees confessed to their involvement with militant activities, the release added.
