The Rapid Action Battalion has arrested four people, including key suspect Sanjit, from Sherpur in suspicion of killing Garo woman and her daughter in Dhaka recently.
RAB detained the four suspects from the district’s Nalitabari area on Wednesday evening, RAB spokesman Mufti Mahmud Khan said.
He added that the elite force will provide more information through a media briefing later in the day.
The bodies of Sujata Chiring, 45, and her mother Besset Chiring, 65, were recovered on Tuesday from their flat on the third floor of the building in the Kalachandpur neighbourhood in Dhaka.
According to police, reports bdnews24, one of the victims was hacked and the other strangled.
Sujata’s husband Ashis Mankin filed a case against the four suspects, including his friends.
