A schoolgirl was allegedly abducted and raped in confinement for four days in Melndaha upazila of Jamalpur district.
The victim, a Class-VIII student, was found near Durmuth Railway Station Mosque in the upazila early Sunday when she was seriously ill.
She was admitted to Melandaha Upazila Health Complex, said officer-in-charge of Melandaha Police Station Md Majharul Karim to UNB.
The schoolgirl stays at her grandfather's (mother's father) house while her parents live in Dhaka.
She said local Mozammel Hossain and his accomplices abducted her while she was going to a coaching centre at Nayanagar village on November 22 and confined her to a house.
Mozammel violated the girl for four days and threw her near Durmuth Railway Station mosque in the early hours of Sunday, the victim said, adding that she was given milk, biscuit and juice laced with sedatives for the days.
Victim's father filed a case with Melandaha Police Station in this regard.
