Seven pieces of dismembered body found in plastic bags in Narayanganj

Police recovered the body of a man, dismembered into seven parts and wrapped in three polythene sacks, in Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj district on Wednesday.

The dismembered body of the unidentified man was recovered from the bank of the lake in Purbachal suburb of the upazila around 8:00 am, as per media reports.

Liaqat Ali, officer-in-charge (OC) of Rupganj Police Station, said the locals found three black polythene sacks lying on the bank of the lake and informed police.

Being informed, police rushed to the spot and opened the polythene bags, a man's head and seven dismembered body parts were recovered.

Later, police recovered the body and sent to Narayanganj General Hospital for an autopsy.
