‘Sibyoun, Sanjay give sensational information’ in Hadi murder probe

Investigators in the Sharif Osman bin Hadi murder case have told a Dhaka court that 'sensational' information has been gleaned during interrogation from two suspects arrested in a border area.

Sibyoun Diu and Sanjay Chisim were produced before the court on Friday after completing eight days of grilling in two phases.

The investigating officer sought their detention in jail.

Following the petition, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ripon Hossain ordered that the two be sent to jail.

Prosecution police Sub-Inspector Roknuzzaman confirmed the court proceedings.

In the detention plea, police said: “[Sibyoun] and [Sanjay] have given many important and sensational pieces of information regarding the incident.”

Investigators, however, did not specify the nature of the information.
