Perpetrators have killed two men in separate fatal attacks within an hour in Mohammadpur and Adabor areas of Dhaka.
The first incident took place around 7:00 pm at Mohammadpur’s Chand Udyan, where 30-year-old Al Amin was hacked to death by assailants reportedly due to an old rivalry, according to Mohammadpur police chief Ifthekhar Hasan.
He said details about the victim were yet to be confirmed, reports bdnews24.com.
Just an hour later, around 8:00 pm, 35-year-old Ibrahim was gunned down outside his home at Naboudoy Housing near Adabor.
Adabor police Sub Inspector Alamgir Hossain said that two suspects, identified only as Sajib and Rubel, were caught by locals while fleeing and handed over to the police.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Ibrahim was a driver by profession, who lived with his daughter in a rented third-floor flat at House 10, Road 6/A in Naboudoy Housing.
The motive behind Ibrahim's killing remains unclear, police said, adding that both incidents are being investigated.
