Two crude bomb explosions occurred in front of the residence of Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Adviser to the Ministries of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, and Water Resources, in the Central Road area of the capital on Sunday night at around 9 pm.
No casualties were reported.
Adviser Rizwana confirmed the incident.
According to eyewitnesses, unidentified miscreants detonated two cocktails in front of her home and fled the scene immediately.
A police officer said law enforcement personnel were deployed to the area following the blasts.
Earlier the same evening, at around 7:30 pm, two crude bomb explosions were reported at the SAARC Fountain intersection in Karwan Bazar.
No injuries were reported in that incident either.
