Customs officials detain one with Gold worth Tk 13.0m at Ctg airport

Customs officials arrested a man along with 268 tolas of gold worth about Tk 13.0 million at Shah Amanat International Airport on Sunday morning.

The arrestee is identified as Ali Ajgar, hailing from Hathazari upazila of the district.

Md Alamgir Hossain, assistant commissioner (customs) of the airport, said customs officials recovered 268 tolas of gold from the possession of Ajgar, who was in Dubai for 20 years.

UNB said he arrived at the airport by a flight of Fly Dubai from Dubai around 9am.
