Derailment halts Khulna’s rail link with other parts of country

Train communication between Khulna and other parts of the country has been suspended as a bogie of a commuter train derailed at Jashore rail station on Monday morning.

Aynal Hossain, Jashore Rail Station Master, said the bogie of Mongla Commuter Train from Benapole veered off the tracks around 11:25 am at the station, halting train services between Khulna and other parts of the country, reports UNB.

Efforts are on to salvage the derailed bogie soon and to restore the train communication, said Mahitosh Biswas, in-charge of Railway Police.
