A mild earthquake was felt once again in the capital Dhaka and nearby areas on Thursday (December 4). The 4.1-magnitude tremor was recorded at 6:14 am.
According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, the quake’s epicentre was in Shibpur upazila of Narsingdi.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), on its website, reported that the earthquake originated 30 kilometres beneath the surface. The epicentre was located about 33 kilometres east-northeast of Tongi and 3 kilometres north of Narsingdi.
