Four people have died as a pick-up van hit a battery-run auto-rickshaw they were travelling in at Shalbagan in Birganj upazila of Dinajpur district on Saturday morning.
The deceased, identified as Habu Roy, Sushil Bala, Amulya Roy and Rangila Bala, were heading towards Kantaji Temple from Jaldhaka upazila of Nilpharmari.
Officer-in-charge at Birganj police station, Abu Akkas Ahmed confirmed this and said they all died on the spot.
