DMP fine traffic rule violators Tk 3.3 million

Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets fined traffic rule violators Tk 3.3 million against 4872 cases charging different modes of vehicles on Friday.

Of the total cases, 346 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 70 for using hydraulic horn, nine for using hotter and beckon light and 15 others for using tinted glass, said an official release.

Police filed 1882 cases against motorcycles and seized 70 others for violation of the traffic rules, reports BSS.

Traffic police has reportedly dumped 38 vehicles and wrecked 605 others.
