Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) imposed a ban on rallies, processions, demonstrations, and other gatherings in several places of the city, which is set to come into effect from tomorrow (Saturday).
The ban will be effective at the premises of the chief justice's residence, the Judges Complex, the main gate of the Bangladesh Supreme Court, the Jam-e-Mosque gate, entrances to the International Crimes Tribunals 1 and 2 and the Bangladesh Institute of Judicial Administration.
It will remain in place until further notice, according to a public notification issued by DMP Commissioner SM Sazzat Ali on Thursday.
The DMP also urged all concerned not to obstruct traffic by occupying roads under the pretext of demands, or, protest programmes.
