DMTCL bans unauthorised content creation inside Metrorail premises, trains

Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has imposed a ban on all types of video recording and content creation inside Metrorail station premises and trains without prior permission from the authorities.

The directive was announced through a special warning notice issued Wednesday.

The notice was signed by AKM Khairul Alam, Director (Administration) of DMTCL.

According to the notice, any kind of filming within Metrorail installations without official approval will now be treated as a punishable offence.

The ban applies to Metrorail stations, platforms, concourse halls, entry and exit routes, and inside moving trains. 

DMTCL said that all forms of video recording, photography, live streaming and content distribution are prohibited without prior authorization. This includes making short videos for social media platforms such as YouTube and Facebook, as well as commercial or personal shoots.

The company said the directive will be strictly enforced.
