Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) until has distributed its relief to more than 500,000 families and sprayed liquid disinfectants on the areas of 120 million square feet to stem the coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19).
The distribution of relief items among helpless and distressed people continues at various places of DNCC, according to a statement.
Apart from this, spraying of liquid disinfectants in different DNCC areas will also continue in the coming days, the DNCC says.
As of the day, the reliefs have been distributed at the initiative of DNCC, mayors, councilors and others.
Out of this, food items have been provided among 324,549 families from the DNCC's own funds and also relief items received from the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief.
More than 83,000 litres of liquid disinfectant was sprayed on different DNCC areas of about 1.3 million square feet areas on the day, the DNCC statement stated.
A total of over 8.35 million litres of liquid disinfectant was sprayed in 959 trips with the help of ten water bowers in nearly 125 million square feet areas as of Thursday, it pointed out.
