A documentary film, titled ‘36 Hours of Betrayal’, based on the BDR massacre, has been released.
“Under the initiative of the Cultural Affairs Ministry, a series of documentaries is being made on the misrule during the fascist regime and the July uprising. The film '36 Hours of Betrayal', based on the Pilkhana massacre, was released today as part of that series,” said a press release issued here from the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing.
According to the press release, the BDR massacre of February 2009 marked a turning point in the nation's history, setting the stage for 16 years of authoritarian rule and subjugation.
