Coordinators of the Anti-discrimination Student Movement have announced that Nobel laureate Dr Muhammad Yunus will head the interim government.
They announced this in a video released in the early hours of Tuesday.
According to the coordinators, Dr Yunus has agreed to take on the role.
Earlier on Monday, Nahid Islam, one of the coordinators, announced that they would present a roadmap for constituting the interim government within 24 hours.
