Dhaka University (DU) organised a seminar titled "From Rebellion to Reconstruction: July Uprising, Democratic Prospects, and Our Responsibilities" to mark the first anniversary of the 2024 July uprising.
The programme at the Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury Auditorium in the university premises on Thursday is the first of a month-long seminar series aimed at preserving and honoring the spirit of July movement.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan attended the event as the chief guest, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr. Sayema Haque Bidisha, and Treasurer Professor Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury joined the event as the special guests. Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed chaired the session. Department of Development Studies Professor Dr. Kazi Maruful Islam presented the keynote paper.
