Students of Dhaka University's undergraduate final year and any master's programme are eligible to apply for a special professional communication course launched by the university to improve career readiness.
The course will be jointly conducted by the university's Institutional Quality Assurance Cell and the Student Promotion and Support Unit. The initiative was taken by DU's Industry Collaboration and Employment Committee, according to a press release issued by DU Public Relations Office on Monday.
The special certificate course titled "Effective Professional Communication" aims at expanding students' employment opportunities.
Participants will receive practical training in verbal and written communication, professional email writing, CV and cover letter preparation, and delivering confident presentations. The course will also teach effective digital communication techniques.
In addition, there will be interactive sessions to develop teamwork, problem-solving, and collaboration skills- helping students adapt more efficiently to real-world work environments.
ICEC noted that this initiative is not just a single course but part of a broader plan to ensure DU graduates stay competitive in the future job markets and gain motivation to pursue entrepreneurship.
