EC acting as an agent to renew 'regime's continuity: BNP leader Kayser

The Election Commission is working as an agent to renew the tenure of the current' regime' headed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, BNP Legal Affairs Secretary Kayser Kamal has alleged.
“Declaring the schedule of the 12th parliamentary election is part of that agenda,” he told reporters at his chamber in the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) building on Thursday.
However, along with the people of the country, the BNP and other parties involved in the ongoing movement to restore people’s voting rights have instantly rejected the election schedule, Mr Kayser Kamal said.
“Our programme in this regard will be announced soon,” he informed.
The 2014 and 2018 elections clearly show that as long as elections are held under a party government, it will not be fair, the BNP’s legal affairs secretary said.
