The Election Commission's (EC) National Identity Card (NID) server has become accessible hours after it went offline.
According to local news portals, the NID server remained inaccessible for hours on Wednesday due to maintenance work.
Some reports claimed the server was shut down in anticipation of cyber-attacks. Websites of some government and private institutions reportedly came under cyber-attacks.
