Editors' Council new exec body holds first meeting

First meeting of the newly-elected executive committee of the Editors' Council was held on Tuesday last (December 02), the apex platform of the editors in media outlets informed through a press release.

New Age Editor Nurul Kabir officially took the responsibility of president of the new committee in the meeting attended by Editor and Publisher of The Daily Star Mahfuz Anam, Editor of Manabzamin Matiur Rahman Chowdhury, Editor of Prothom Alo Matiur Rahman, Editor of The Financial Express Shamsul Huq Zahid, Editor of The Daily Ittefaq Tasmima Hossain, Editor of Bonik Barta Dewan Hanif Mahmud, Editor of The Daily Inqilab AMM Bahauddin, and Editor of Suprobhat Bangladesh Rusho Mahmud.

However, Editor of The Daily Karatoa Md Mozammel Haque joined the meeting virtually.

During the meeting, outgoing president Mahfuz Anam was presented with a crest in recognition of his strong leadership and significant contributions to the Council.
