Education minister’s house attacked in Chattogram, MP Bachchu’s office vandalised

A section of protesters from a rally of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement in Chattogram allegedly attacked the residence of Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury on Saturday.
Two cars were vandalised, one was set on fire, and some furniture were also vandalised during the attack on his house around 6:30 pm in the city’s Chashma Hill area in Sholoshahar, according to witnesses.
The coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, however, denied the allegations.
Earlier at 5:30 pm, the office of Awami League lawmaker from Chattogram-10 Md Mohiuddin Bachchu at the port city's Lalkhan Bazar area was torched and vandalised.
Police boxes at the city's Newmarket, Tigerpass, and GEC intersection were also vandalised this afternoon.
