A 60-year-old man was arrested for repeatedly raping an 11-year-old girl at Gaidghat of Bagharpara upazila in Jashore.
“Jafar Ali Molla had been raping the child for the past four months,” said Officer-in-Charge of Bagharpara Police Station Syed Al Mamun.
The matter came to light when he tried to rape the girl again on April 4.
Police arrested Jafar from his house at Gaidghat after the victim’s father filed a case at Bagharpara Police Station on Thursday.
The victim was sent to the Sadar Hospital for medical test, he added, reports UNB.
