Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus has announced that the 13th national parliamentary election will be held in February next year, ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
To this end, a letter would be issued to the Election Commission, instructing it accordingly, he said in a televised address to the nation on Tuesday night, marking the observance of July Uprising Day.
Bangladesh Television (BTV), BTV News, and Bangladesh Betar simultaneously broadcast the address.
