Emergency measles vaccination begins Sunday across 30 high-risk zones

The government is going to launch an emergency measles-rubella vaccination campaign from Sunday across 30 high-risk Upazilas and municipalities to curb a growing outbreak.

The vaccination will begin at 9:00 am, Health Minister Sardar M Sakhawat Hossain said on Saturday.

In the first phase, all children aged between 6 months and under 5 years will be brought under the initiative, regardless of prior doses, bdnews24.com reports.

During a briefing at the Secretariat, Sakhawat stressed the urgency of containing the spread.
