Legendary musicologist, singer, composer, researcher and writer Mustafa Zaman Abbasi has died at the age of 89.
He passed away at a hospital in Dhaka’s Banani early on Saturday.
His eldest daughter, singer Samira Abbasi, announced his departure on her Facebook page with a picture of her father, saying: “So I won’t get to see you ever again!”
Mustafa Zaman Abbasi was awarded the Ekushey Padak for his contribution to music in 1995.bdne
