Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad on Sunday went to Rangpur on a four-day visit.
He left Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for Rangpur cantonment on a helicopter at around 11:00am.
Ershad reached there around 12:00pm and then went to the Hotel Grand Palace, UNB reported citing a press release.
The JaPa chief will take part in several party and personal programmes on March 4, 5 and will return to Dhaka on Wednesday (March 6) by a helicopter.
Jatiya Party Secretary General Moshiur Rahman Ranga and presidium member Major (retired) Md Khaled Akhter and Ershad's son Erikh Ershad are also accompanying him.
