Ex-Mayor of Narayanganj Ivy placed on 2-day remand

A Narayanganj court on Sunday placed Selina Hayat, former mayor of Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC), on a two-day remand in a case filed with Siddhirganj Police Station.

Narayanganj Senior Judicial Magistrate Md Nur Mahsin passed the order when police produced her before the court with a seven-day remand prayer, said court inspector Kaiyum Khan.

Police arrested Ivy from her residence on May 9 in connection with the murder of Minarul during the anti-discrimination student movement.

Ivy was wanted in six cases filed with Siddhirganj and Fatulla Police Station.
