Farewell address of CJ scheduled for Dec 14

Chief Justice (CJ) Dr Syed Refaat Ahmed will deliver his farewell address on December 14 at the Supreme Court (SC) auditorium in the capital.

For this purpose, he has convened a session to be attended by senior judicial officers, including district judges, metropolitan sessions judges, chief judicial magistrates, and chief metropolitan magistrates from courts across the country.

Md Shafiqul Islam, PRO of the SC, issued a press release in this regard on Thursday.

In his farewell speech, the CJ is expected to highlight the reform initiatives undertaken over the past one and a half years, as well as future prospects, reflecting on the roadmap he announced last year for the reform and overall advancement of the judiciary.
