Farmer among two die, three injured as lightning strikes Sunamganj

Two people were killed and three others injured in separate incidents of lightning in the district on Tuesday morning.
In Jamalganj upazila, a farmer was killed and three others were injured as a lightning struck them in Paknar haor around 11 am.
The deceased was identified as Kamala Kanto Talukder, 55, son of Krishna Kanto Talukder.
Locals said that the thunderbolt struck a group of farmers while they were extracting paddy in the haor, leaving Kamala Kanto dead on the spot.
The injured are Prince Talukder, 25, Soikat Talukder, 15 and Gyan Das, 40 were injured in the lightning strike.
In a separate incident, Abdur Rashid, 40, was killed after being hit by a thunderbolt at Mollapara union in sadar upazila in the morning, reports UNB.
