A farmer died from electrocution at Srifalkati village in Shyamnagar upazila of Satkhira on Monday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Ichha Morol, 55, according to a news agency report.
Abul Kalam, officer-in-charge of Shyamnagar Police Station, said farmer Morol came in contact with a live electric wire while he was cutting a branch of a tree in the morning and sustained severe injuries.
Later, he was rushed to Satkhira Sadar Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
