Farooki, Bashir, Mahfuj take oath as advisers

Filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, businessman Sheikh Bashir Uddin, and Chief Advisor’s Special Assistant Mahfuj Alam have taken the oath of office as the advisers of the interim government.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin administered the oath during a ceremony at the Darbar Hall at Bangabhaban on Sunday evening in the presence of Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus and senior government officials and dignitaries.

The swearing-in-ceremony began with a one-minute silence in honour of the martyrs.
