A CNG-driven auto-rickshaw collided with the jeep of Lama upazila chairman in Shantir Hat area of Chattogram’s Rangunia, killing a man and his minor daughter on Sunday morning.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Aziz, 50 and his three-year-old child Afisa, hailing from Rangunia’s Kodala.
The driver of the CNG, Kanchan Das and the wife of the deceased, Tahera Begum received injuries in the accident occurred at around 10am, according to local media reports.
Alauddin Talukder, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) Police Outpost said Abdul Aziz was declared dead at the emergency unit of the hospital.
His daughter Afisa succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment, he added.
