“What wrong did my son do? What crime had he committed? Why did this happen? I don’t wish harm on anyone, just bring my son back to me.”
These were the anguished words of Hasan Jamal, father of slain journalist Asaduzzaman Tuhin, as he mourned the death of his youngest son on Friday.
Nearly 80 years old, Jamal can barely move on his own. Since receiving the news of his son's death, he had repeatedly lost consciousness, while neighbours and relatives tried desperately to console him.
Tuhin was murdered on Thursday night by a group of armed men who attacked him near Chandna Chowrasta in Gazipur.
