The fire that broke out at Korail slum in Dhaka on Tuesday afternoon was brought under control.
The fire started in the slum around 12:53 pm.
On information, six units of Fire Service and Civil Defence rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control at around 1:40 pm, said Deputy-assistant director of FSCD headquarters media cell Shahjahan Sikder.
The origin of the fire and the extent of damages could not be known immediately, he added.
